Its now available:
(updated to 0.4.0.1 after a planner parsing problem found)
As noted below the Transport Stream to Program Stream converter is very alpha but considering the raft of other new features (Copy+ XTV image support, Foxtel IQ disk format support) I thought it would be useful to release it now.
There’s a new auto-update feature so you’ll get notified of the next release as soon as its out (as soon as practical)
Be aware that this release will not run until you purchase a license, which is all built into +Extract. It uses Paypal as the payment processor so apologies if that service is not available to you.
Who will be first?
neildo.
dear sir,
i just came to know about the +extract.
I am using sky+ in india in collaboration with TATA.
I wanted to exract my recorded content from the Sky+.
one way is i use a tv tuner card and othe ris extract.
but i cant find all details pertaining to use +extract.
i tried to open my sky+ but found a seal of warranty.
If i open it and was unable to transfer stuff then it will be a big waste as i will loose warranty.
It would be kind if you can let me know what kind of cable i will require to extract recorded content rom sky+ and will there be any availble socket in the sky+ box?
hope to hear soon from you.
regards
gurpal
If you’re worried about your Sky+ warranty, don’t open the box and break the warranty seal.
+Extract will only extract recordings from the drive if it’s directly connected to your PC. There is no other method, by way of a cable, to use +Extract.
Also its important to realise that if the recordings are encrypted on the disk then its pointless using +Extract.
Hi,
If you’d like Copy+ and +Extract to support Sky+ in India, we’d need a copy of a disk from your system so we can add the necessary support. We have special software that will take a copy of the relevant data that you can then e-mail us. Let one of us know and we’ll send you the software.
Again this will require that you open your box to access the hard drive. As Neil says, don’t do this if you don’t want to take the risk. However my experience of Sky in the UK is that Sky are NOT at all worried about broken seals. However things may be different in India, I do not know.
